This is the first post on the ResumeLeo blog. It exists mainly to prove the publishing pipeline end to end, but the plan for what follows is worth stating up front.
What this blog is for
Job searching is full of confident advice that nobody has checked. We would rather write down what we actually know from building a resume-tailoring product: what a job description does and does not tell you, what parsing software reads and ignores, and where “optimising” a resume tips over into saying something that is not true.
Who it is for
Not only engineers. ResumeLeo is built for nursing, accounting, legal, skilled trades and everything else alongside tech, and the writing here will be too. Advice that only works for a software CV is not advice, it is a niche.
What we will not do
We will not tell you to invent experience you do not have. A tailored resume is a rearranged and better-argued version of a true one. That constraint is the whole point of the product, and it applies to the writing here as well.
